Hillary has been employed by CBD Law since July 2003. Her overarching responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the firm. She is the go to person for all staff queries from the technical to the financial. Her duties include accounting, information technology, marketing, human resources and just generally making sure everyone is a happy camper! Apart from being employed fulltime at CBD Law, in 2012, Hillary was elected as the Greens Councillor for Gosford City Council. She represented the community from September 2012 until May 2016 when both Council’s voted to merge into the mega council it is today – not that Hillary agreed with this decision. After the amalgamation was announced, in June 2016, Hillary was appointed as a member of the Central Coast Council’s Local Representative Environment Committee where she endeavoured to guide the new council on minimising it’s impact on its natural environment. Hillary decided not to stand for re-election. Prior to joining CBD Law, Hillary was employed as Sales & Marketing Manager for BBC Worldwide, the commercial division of the British Broadcasting Corporation, based in North Sydney. There she managed the Education and Training Division and was responsible for the sale of non theatrical training material to both corporate organisations and educational institutions as well as broadcast material to Free to Air TV. Hillary was also responsible for overseeing both the Australian and New Zealand distribution networks as well as the Asia-Pacific distribution network. BBC Worlwide did not only focus on its own educational broadcast content but also marketed a range of high end professional development training programmes from Harvard Business School of Management. Hillary was invited to present at Harvard Business School of Management on her successful distribution management and was awarded Distributor of the Year. She was also responsible for the sale to direct marketing organisations of BBC’s children’s programme merchandising.
